Building your business using website marketing & SEO!

There are various methods like banner advertising, emails and newsletters and most are touted as “the answer” to all your lack of website traffic and resulting new revenues. But the truth is, that none of these approaches provides a solid ROI, so what’s the answer? The most recent statistics (Georgia Institute of Tech. Survey 2010) report that 88% of all new visitors to your site came via a Search Engine. And that means that your site must be in the top 10 rankings for your own keywords as more than 3.5 billion searches are done daily -- and rising to the top in your channel should be your major online source of new leads and prospects that turn into new customers and clients! A successful SEO Campaign will drive new targeted organic traffic, achieved through tactical techniques including both on-page and off-page optimizations something we've been doing for over a decade.

We're a Microsoft Certified Solutions Development company that has built hundreds of websites for a host of clients. From Fortune 500 companies to retail stores and chains, from B2B companies to small service firms like professionals and consultants too – we have built SEO Campaigns for sites that have had millions of hits, come up on the first page in search engines and more than that – we build sites that generate new business for our clients day after day! And we understand ROI and provide full analytics programs to enable site owners to measure their successes, and improving a site's conversion rate too!

So our Presentation today will cover the basics of what to consider for a new SEO Campaign for your website and talk about the myths of same as well as a client Case Study to learn from too!

SWOUGAS Conference: Tuesday, November 23, 2010.

Prior to the existence of SWOUGAS, as such, there was a users group that covered all of Southern Ontario West of Toronto. It met 4 times per year in Kitchener. It was a good group but the numbers of users were only a small percentage of those using the systems. In part, this was a factor of geography and people's travel times were perceived to be too long to attend the meetings.

Approximately 10 years ago, Paul Dodgson of Dodgson & Schaufelberger Insurance Brokers Ltd. and Carol Coolman of May McConville Insurance Brokers, proposed that a new users group be formed in a more central location - London - for those in South-western Ontario west of Highway 19. The Great Lakes Users group continued to operate in the Kitchener-Waterloo area for a couple of years after that, but it had difficulty attracting leadership and subsequently folded and this area was then assigned to SWOUGAS.

At the same time it was recognized that brokers in the areas of Hamilton and the Niagara Escarpment were under-represented at the meetings so recruiting was initiated on a joint basis with the Toronto Users Group giving people an option of which group they wished to join ( travel time from Hamilton is 1h15m to the meeting site in London).
